Helsinki Coordinator's Meeting

Helsinki University of Technology hosted the third coordinator's meeting of the European eCompetence Initiative in June. Held at Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, the meeting focused on preparing and planning a programme for the upcoming Barcelona Symposium.

The meeting focused on preparing a detailed agenda for the upcoming Barcelona Symposium. In addition, the meeting looked at the status of the project as well as assessed the development and determined what the next steps for the progress would be

eCOMPETENCE WORKSHOP IN HELSINKI

eCompetence Workshop

The European eCompetence Initiative gave a workshop at the Annual Eden Conference 2005 in June, discussing in detail the eCompetence challenges in a European perspective.

The workshop stimulated discussion amongst a group of twenty five participants about individual eCompetence, organisational eCompetence, and the support needed for teachers. The participants gave comments and ideas on how to define and utilise these terms and produced models for formal and informal competence development for academic staff members.
