The European Commission has invited eLearning actors across Europe to participate in the EU eLearning 2006 Conference "Technology Enhanced Learning
- Catalyst for Change and Innovation" which takes place at Helsinki. This key event is hosted by the the Dipoli Lifelong Learning Centre of Helsinki University and the Technology-enhanced Learning Unit of the European Commission has set up the focus and the programme of the conference.
As you might know, we have submitted a large project proposal called EUReCOMP - European eCompetence Research Consportium, for a STREP (Specific Targeted Research Project) in the last TeL call in March 2005. As you know, this proposal, which has set a focus on organisational change management, did not succeed, mainly because a technological component has not been integrated to a sufficient degree. Now, there will be a prospective next TeL call for proposals, probably to be opened in December 2006. This would be an option for us to build upon and to improve the EUReCOMP proposal for a new submission in the next call.
To remind you on status of the EUReCOMP proposal at the time of its submission, I have put the proposal online. You can download the proposal here: FP6-2004-IST_PartB_STREP_EUReCOMP
We welcome any comments and ideas from your side to adequately modify the proposal, so that he might be better suited to the criteria set up in the TeL funding scheme. In addition, I have also included the summary list of our ideas for potential follow-up proposals which extend the eCompetence topic that we have presented and collected at the final Dortmund panel.
Any comments and suggestions for cooperation in order to draft a joint follow-up proposal are welcome. Just send me an eMail or give me a phone call at the below given contact number.
