Dear Colleagues,

I hope that you all had a good start into the New Year! Professor Johannes Wildt and I would cordially like to invite you all to participate in the 4th and final eCompetence Symposium, which will be an integral part of the AHD Annual Congress 2006. We are delighted to welcome you to this final Symposium of the European E-Competence Initiative in Dortmund and are sure it will be a productive and positive conclusion to this project that we have all participated in.

This Symposium will take place during the AHD Annual Congress this year under the title of ‘Change in Teaching and Learning Cultures at Universities - Research and Development in Higher Education in International Perspectives.’ The AHD is the German Association for Staff Development in Higher Education. The AHD Congress will take place at the University of Dortmund from Monday 6th to Thursday 9th March 2006 and promises to be a stimulating and ground breaking academic event in the fields of academic staff development and education innovation.

The eCompetence project is organising several thematic panels that contribute to the AHD Congress on 8th and 9th March 2006. We have invited a number of experts in the field to actively participate and to chair a panel or discussion forum on the thematic field of eCompetence and technological innovation in universities. Please make sure that you will reserve 8th and 9th March 2006 in your schedule for this final eCompetence event. Of course you are certainly invited to participate in the whole AHD Congress.
